Original retail prices are listed. Remember, the fastest way to calculate the net price you'd pay is like this. $90 blazer. 9x6 = $54. Use 9 for the $90 x 6 because if the item is 40% off, you're paying 60%. Voila! Let's say the price is $55, I just round up before calculating because it accounts for tax anyway.
Falling dots print fluid henley blouse ($59.50) - Size PL - It was very popular was there were only 3 blouses on the rack. I would've tried PM, but this was the closest to my size.
When I saw this blouse I immediately thought of JC's silk top in shoe sketch. I know, not exactly the same. I like the Loft one better, actually. I'm not a big fan of the shoe sketch. Detour -> shoe sketch skirt review.
The Feeling
I really liked this blouse. Overlooking the whole poly thing. I do think there's a place for it, so I can't shun it altogether. This is great for the office, esp if you run cold. It probably doesn't breathe much, so it would keep you warm. Fabric not so good on hot days. I probably wouldn't buy it, personally, but thumbs up.
3/4 tweed blazer - Size M - Happy Easter! If that isn't yellow, I don't know what is. I saw this in-store and thought it was cute. Pondered it online, but didn't order. I know very well that yellow is not an easy color for me to wear. Check it out on Extra Petite.
The Feeling
Totally thrift shop feeling in color and fit. Matronly vibe. I'm in the wrong size, but it's still a big ole no. Good luck if you try it.
Is it wrong to love stripes so much?
A good place to look for gauging if a top is too big. It wasn't too-too big under the arm.
It has a back zip, but it's a short one. I think the fabric pulls on it are cute.
The Feeling
Almost stripe perfection. It's a little wide thru the body. I will forgive the 100% poly because I do not like ironing and, well, I like the stripes. As far as the poly, I think if you pull this out of the dryer right away it will be wrinkle free.
Cotton eyelet peplum hem top ($54.50) - Size 6 - The top pretty much fit ok in the front. It had a big fold in the back. Ideally it would be taken up at the shoulders for the best fit. The store search said there was an 8P to try before I headed down there, but I didn't see it when I arrived.
I also tried the 8 (not pictured) to see if it would fall looser and straight. It seemed to kind of work in the back, but not in the front. The 8 was too loose in the bust, shoulder and under arm area.
The Feeling
100% cotton and a cute fit. I like the scallop at the sleeve. There is no lining, so there will be some see-thru issues you'll have to work out. I think that can be less obvious and more easily accomplished in warmer months. It's not a deal breaker. I wish it had worked out for me. Pics may look decent, but it wasn't quite a match to my figure. I would buy it, but probably never wear for fear of feeling self-conscious that the fit wasn't completely right. Thumbs up on this one, anyway.
Modern straight jeans in rinse ($59.50) - Size 29/8P - Love these. I've more or less stopped looking for my wool pants unless I'm going to work. You see these jeans in almost every fitting room pic. And I forgot all about my cords this winter. Because I love these! When you find jeans that fit well, get at least 2 pair. Yesterday I bought pairs 4 & 5. Pair #1 is wearing thin in the thighs after months and months of wash & wear.
The Feeling
Love, love and love. Ecstatic over the fit for me. These jeans are on faithfully on my side!
Mwah, jeans, I love you!
Aqua spritz print shorts ($49.50) - Fun, cute print. For some reason it made me think of Greg Brady. In the episode when they went to Hawaii.
I liked the colors in this print and didn't even mind that it put eyes on the top of my thighs. I didn't notice that in the fitting room. I'm only seeing it here when I really concentrate on the pics. I also see two psychedelic bald eagles with their beaks pressed to each other.
The Feeling
I loved the fit. They were very comfortable all over. Lukewarm thumb because there are no pockets. I use pockets.
Rinse wash denim shorts ($39.50) - These have a 3.5" inseam, but they fit similar to the ones above. Definitely got these (6) and will likely be wearing the heck out of them. I love a dark rinse, and they have pockets.
Candy dot shorts ($49.50) - I'm glad I tried the floral print shorts on because i know the 4" inseam works for me. When I got home, I saw & ordered these online. I didn't see them in-store. They look super cute.
Linen tee ($29.50) - A great price with the 40% off. I tried flax in size S and it was very long. I would try PS or PM for a shorter length. It didn't feel itchy or too slouchy/sloppy. It felt too big, though. I read the description, but I think it runs one size big. If you're a petite, try for that size and not the regular. I agree w/the online comments about sheerness. I think white is online only, so I didn't try that. I tried flax, hoping to pair it w/turquoise, but not sure the color is a match. Loft has done a great job of leaving those stupid elastic hems off the bottoms of blouses and venturing away from the poet style blouse. However, it's like their designer got pregnant or something. Everything is really big thru the body, even for me.

J Crew's collection Fair Isle sparkle sweater (orig $225, sold out) & geometric woven sleeve sweater tee ($44.99)
I never saw the sparkle sweater in-person. I see them on Ebay, but no way am I shelling out a couple hundred dollars for something that might give me fish scales for upper arms. I found the Loft geometric sweater very similar in concept. I have tried it on and it fits nicely. The sleeves feel crepe-like, so they're probably poly. The body of the sweater is cotton, I believe. Thumbs up on it. I immediately see it with the JC mustard pencil skirt in wool.

* Dot print pleated crinkle crepe skirt ($69.50) If you don't like/can't wear JC's postage stamp mini in scattered dot ($98), this might be a better silhouette. The print is very similar.
* Jacquard dot peplum - Soooo cute. The online pic doesn't do it justice. Solid fabric. Nice dark background. Beautiful tan dots. 8P fit me well.
* Marisa garden lace shorts - Nice lace. Love the 4" inseam. They come in black, mint & a purple color.
* Piped tweed jacket ($98) - Similar to JC's dot dash textured print.
* Stripe structured cotton knit tee ($49.50) - I should be ashamed. I'm like a stripes pusher. But this is 100% cotton and the structure does look good.
* Zip-back tee ($34.50) - I was checking this out in white, but didn't like the contrast stitching. Positive reviews and looks like it fits well.
Many more cute things on the site & some JC flavored items, but I have to cut myself off.
Thanks for visiting...
