Size 6 - I happened to be wearing these Old Navy maternity leggings on w/the Factory chambray dotted shirtdress (review). I still would never wear leggings as pants. I will admit that for one second I kind of thought the top & leggings were cool but, I think going out w/tight, thin leggings as pants is sharing too much information whether the wearer is very fit or not so much.
Shoes (8): J Crew patent Martina wedges
Sleeve length. Remember, I'm 5'2', so if you have longer arms it might hit in an odd place. You can fill up the space w/a couple bracelets, I suppose. I don't like the fullness all the way down to the ribbed cuff, although I understand the design.
Showing you how wide it is. It's fuller thru the top 1/3 and then tapers toward the bottom a little. I'm getting used to seeing poly on labels and was surprised to see it was silk. I also think I'm used to seeing silk chiffon from J Crew, so this read like a poly but not a cheap poly. The top is a new release, but I didn't see any snags on it and I didn't feel like it was particularly fragile. I don't think I'd size down because then it might get too tight in the arms and lose the intended flow.
I'll have to check it out again to get a final feeling on the fabric as far as it being snaggerrific or not. I wasn't into the navy/black very much. It just felt like a really, really plain top. I do like the silhouette now that focusing on more casual outfts. I definitely want to see this in the grey for sure. At the time of try-on, it felt so plain for the price, So for now, 9:30 thumb.
I'm loving the Oct catalog & new arrivals as much as the last release. How about you?
