J Crew - grand stone bracelet

J Crew's grand stone bracelet (48313, $98) is currently on promo online for $78. It was still regular price in the store, as of last week (1/17). The color is called frosted aqua. 



I thought this would look good with a J Crew black cami, like the Natasha or something. I tried it on in-store and didn't get the feeling. However, I always feel pressured when the SA is standing there waiting to see if I'm buying or she's returning the jewelry to the case.I passed in-store and after debating and debating, convinced myself to order it on the last 30% promo.

In certain light, the dark stones register as very dark.

 

My wrist measure 6.5" where the bracelet is sitting. There was about 1/2 - 1/2" slack in between the bracelet and my wrist. 

The Feeling

 I like the mint stones. That's a lil different to mix in with the darker shades.  I like the shapes of all the stones individually and what they create together. I didn't like how far apart the three stones are from each other, although that's probably a necessity so the bracelet can curve around the wrist. While I appreciate that the rusty brass makes you think this bracelet would be found in the Goonie's treasure chest, I didn't like it. It was too dull & splotchy in contrast to the clean colors of the stones. I get the contrast, but this wasn't a keeper for me. Thumb to the side.
