Size 6 - I'm taking 4 or 6 in J Crew, but mostly size 6. When I share sizing information these days, I'm gauging it almost solely on my upper body, which has returned to normal. This is 100% cotton and no give. It is cotton oxford material. The top, pink color had more of a purple tinge than I was expecting. I like the color idea, but didn't like the purple tint in the top portion of the shirt.
Another close-up shot. If I got this, I'd probably get a 6 and wait until I could fit into it without tugging across my stomach. It fit well everywhere else. Check it out on Bag Fashionista and Workday Weekend.
The colorblocking looks a little strange, but kind works. I'm on the fence about it.
Sleeve length. I didn't even pay attention to the fact that the sleeve is colorblocked, too, until I looked at these pics. That's cool.
I'll bet this could be styled in a really cute way. However, I long ago I learned that talking myself into things is not a good thing. If I fina myself saying, "...for '$x I'll make it work,' that's probably going to be a mistake for my closet. So I try to make sure the item can stand alone if I want and that I can easily create 3 outfits out of it. Didn't work in this case . I had no desire to wear the top solo and I couldn't think of 3 interesting outfits while I pondered it. I will say that the 100% cotton (not cotton-silk) is nice to see. I am curious what the blue color pattern looks like, but overall it's not a top for me.
