J Crew - Lucille dress in cotton-silk faille

J Crew's Lucille dress in cotton-silk faille (regular 77618, petite 83965, $168) comes in black, festival green and hot pink. Pink is $89.99 online. The other two colors are $119.99 online. The dress is now $99.99 in-store.70% cotton, 30% silk, 100% poly lining. SU2012.

Size 6 - chest = 37", waist 29.5"
Size 8 - chest = 38", waist 30.5


Size 6 - Festival green is very striking. What's great about this cut is the waist isn't too high. That's a big problem in many of the other dress silhouettes from J Crew.

"With heels"
"With flats" - Knowing I can wear this with flats is a big selling point for me. I can make a casual summer look with it.


The fabric isn't too dressy, imo. I think it looks more formal in the shirred maxiskirt ($119.99) (irl pic).


I like the idea of a skinny belt on the dress. If I don't want to wear a belt, the long necklace creates a nice line down the torso. Check out the dress on 1 More Shopping Blog in green and in black, on A JC Shopping Habit, on Ema and on One Too Many Closets.
