J Crew - brief in-store notes

The prices are jumping and I'm trying to keep track. I will be updating the in-store price notes by Sat. Thanks to all the JCAs that report on The Mothership and JCA blogs!! Here are a few highlights.

Classic wide bangle - Some colors are on sale in the b&m. The mint is not (wah, still $28). Navy is $14.99. There is a slightly lighter blue color, perhaps a casablanca blue and that may also be on sale. I think the newer releases are a smidge narrower than the ones prior. I'll have to get back to you on that. ETA --> oops, I meant to say I think they are narrower in width. I found them a bit hard to get on and off. Don't have that problem w/my other enamel bracelets. I love the mint color, which is looking baby blue turquoise-y on my monitor in this pic. If you cannot do the Scout chinos or Jackie pullover in mint (raises hand), try the bangle. The mint is still regular price, though.


Tillary purse (63033, $128) - Also in mint, consider the Tillary purse. Per The Mothership Audreys reported that the mint is now on sale. The neon peach (coral color) has been $69.99, so I assume the mint is the same price. Anyone...


I wanted to know and confirmed...the Porcelain paisley pencil skirt is on sale for $99.99 in-store, the same as online. The Ella dress in porcelain paisley is now said to be $149.99 in-store.

They really need to get out the pricing gun and get the correct prices on everything. I'm doing the best I can here and going off of what I saw on the boxes. You'll have to confirm the correct price w/your store. They can always put in the style# to confirm the current in-store price. 

Lena wedges ($119.99 in-store)

Palma leather platform wedges ($49.99 in-store) - This price I am 100% sure about, based on what I saw on 4 boxes in the store.

Seville espadrilles ($79.99 in-store) - All of the boxes were marked this price.

Seville canvas and satin wedge espadrilles ($69.99 in-store)

Sydney patent sandals ($49.99 in-store) - This one I don't feel 100% sure about the price.


FYI, Gigi's Gone Shopping is on Twitter!!! I am getting a teense better on it each week. Today I popped off   ...ehhh...  twitted ...tweeted some sizes I came across in-store that JCA's might be interested in. I will continue to use Twitter for that and other misc retail stuffs. More 3rd personage...you can also Like Gigi's Gone Shopping on Facebook. Some of you have me as a friend under Gigi Ofca. I feel like I'm eavesdropping sometimes when I see very personal info. If you want to dump that and Like my Gone Shopping page, I won't be offended.

  1. I snagged 2 linen tippi's at the Cool Springs Store in Nashville today. THey were both 29.99 - 30% hey also has the stripe linen tippi 49.99, red linen schoolboy 99.99 and a whole rack of no 2 pencil skirts in cotton (I saw black, natural and succulent green) 59.99, the two summery tweed skirts that were out are both 79.99 there too. I was told that anything in store that ends in .99 gets an extra 30% off as well.

  2. Ella dress in porcelain paisley is $139.99: ring-around eyelet top is $39.99 (confirmed at register); ribbon-stripe tee is $29.99 (love this one but fits small IMO); silk cafe capris in foulard print got marked down to $99.99.

    1. I agree Ema. I ordered the ribbon stripe tee last week as a fp ride along during the last 30% off promotion in both XS and S my normal sizes. Don't size down in this top or you will be in trouble. It fits slim all around but especially in the shoulders & arms. For reference I wear xs in most sweaters, cafe capris in 4 are roomy and just picked up the anchor maritime dress in xs. While I love the colors on this top, I hate, hate, hate when Jcrew and other manufacturers don't continue the print around to the back of a garment. It just ruined it for me. Perhaps this is why this top is already marked down!

  3. Of course this is the month that I can't possibly get to a J.Crew store, unless I'm willing to travel 6 hours round trip to Chicago. Sigh. I'd love to snag the Tillary purse for $70-30%, but I don't *need* it really, so maybe it's for the best.

  4. I'm not sure if this is helpful but the Ram's head necklace was on sale for 89.99 and sequin anchor tank for 59.99 (I think. Didn't look at it carefully as I didn't want to be tempted.) I'm seriously becoming a crazy Jcrew person. Sun

  5. I just wanted to let you know about the wider bangle(newer version),that you are correct about the width.
    I have lots of older ones and the are all a tad wider than the newer one.
    i reviewed the neon pink one a couple weeks ago.

    however I stopped in Talbots yesterday and they have tons of spring, summer at 30% of markdown. Selection is good I think much will be gone after the weekend when everyone gets out to the sales.
