Size S - As other JCAs have reported, the color on this is dull. Even worse, it looks faded, as if the cardi has been washed. You can't really tell in the photo, but trust me it's true. If you're still doubtful, just compare the stock photo to my photo. The stock photo is a lie.
Standard fit of the print cardis. Take your usual J Crew size. You can also see the cardigan on Fabby Life.
Here is a snapshot of a few of the fanfare pieces so you can compare the colors at once.My camera is being kind. The fanfare cardi is more faded than it appears in this photo. The fanfare jacket is more rich in color than the Jules in fanfare, but not as dark as the dress.

Thank you for the review! It is a shame that the colors are faded. Not too much a fan of the print either.

No wonder it's already on sale!
ReplyDeleteLike Kim, I'm not such a fan of the print. The fading guarantees I'll not even bother trying it on. Thanks for reviewing!
ReplyDeletethanks for the review and pics! I wanted to get the cardigan but not if its faded like that! I tried the popover but it was too much print for me at full price. Maybe if it pops back on sale though!
ReplyDeleteWhy on earth did they make it so faded? It just looks worn out. Thanks for the pics and pointing it out to everyone before they buy final sale.
ReplyDeleteReally disappointed in the old, faded look on this cardigan. No thanks. Ordered the popover on sale & can't wait to get it. I'm a fan (pun intended) of the fanfare print!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why they made so many different shade of blue, more or less dark, in this print, nothing matches (they could have done the pencil and the jacket in the same shade, non? Not that I necessarly want to be covered in fans head to toe but it is silly that we don't have the option). I like it best in the bright blue (tank, swimsuit, coverup). The dress is black, I think.
ReplyDeleteDid you get the jacket? I tried the 2 yesterday and put it on hold. Can't decide!
The faded look is a big negative. Who wants a sweater that looks old and worn? At least the print matches up nicely. That's about all I can say about it. I bought the fanfare pencil and it is en route. I like the cotton printed pencils for spring/summer so I hope the color is not faded on that one. It looked good on rynetta Ph.D.
ReplyDeleteI like this print and would love it in a cardi, too bad the color is so faded!
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those who bought it and sent it back b/c of the fading. So bummed - I was ready to love this cardi for Spring :(
