Size 6 - This is a beautiful top. I tried it on when it first came out. I still feel the same as I did then. The color is nice but I couldn't easily pull 3 outfits in my mind when I looked at it. I already have too many silk pieces for my lifestyle. Check it out on 1 More Shopping Blog, on A Pretty Thought, on Ema, on I Am Style-ish, on Notes From the Dressing Room, on One Too Many Closets, on ShOperaRach, on Slastena and on Shopping On the Fly.
Now that I think of it, it's a bit pajama-y. Maybe that's also why I didn't get the feeling.

I actually found this blouse at one of the clearance stores for like $30. I tend to gravitate towards blues but really had no idea what to wear with it. I did bring it home though. I found I like mixing the pattern with other larger patterns. You can see a few of my Polyvore sets with it.
ReplyDeleteI have this and I love it. I've worn it with black and grey skirts, with the mixed media skirt, with camel pants, with jeans and with a high waisted skirt in a taupey ivory color. I saw a girl wearing it with a green skirt and it looked amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love this blouse also, but I wear it mostly to the office. It's perfect for that since I am not much into the polka dots, and I know I will be able to wear this long after the polka dot trend is gone.
ReplyDeleteyes, it is one of the 'nice in theory' or 'so pretty in the catalog'. I tried it too and it did nothing for me, and I love button downs.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gigi!
I tried it on when it first came out, but didn't like the price tag. When it hit sale, and I found it at the B&M on sunday in my size? Of course it had to come home with me. I'm pretty excited and am planning on wearing it tomorrow :D
ReplyDeleteI got it bf Xmas with the 30% off promo. It has definitively a pajama-y vibe, which is accentuated if you size up IMO. That's why I actually sized down to a 00 in this one, the more fitted/the better in this shirt IMO. I also agree that it isn't the most versatile blouse out there, it basically looks nice with white and navy or blue (but for example it is too pajama-esque with the cafe capris in yatch blue). The color is too pretty and spring-y thought, I had to have it.
ReplyDeletehi, first time visiting ur blog, and fell in love with it straight away.
