J Crew - cashmere rugby-stripe turtleneck sweater

J Crew cashmere rugby-stripe turtleneck sweater (57873, $245) is now $119 (poppy graphite) and $169.99 (all others) online. I saw the in-store tickets marked $159.99 on 1/17.

Size S - Color code PBH. I think this is charcoal, along w/the lavender. The lavender is pretty. The cashmere felt very soft and cozy. It didn't strike me as see-thru. Although I did have a cami underneath, so perhaps I would notice some sheerness without it..? I don't think so, though.

Size S - I don't recall seeing this combo online. It was my favorite even though the tones didn't favor me in return.

Shoes (8): J Crew Maclister shearling wedge booties - love these, very comfortable
(Similar here, here and here)

Size S -Navy/white combo. Pretty standard. Stripes often come in navy or black w/white, so opting for a fun color is more exciting than this one. The darker makes me look bigger in the pics. It seemed that way in-person. Not slimming. There is a bit of dolman action around the under arm. If I were thin, I would've looked stylish. I'm not thin at the moment so I felt dumpy w/the bit of express fullness there.

Check out how Atlantic-Pacific styled it. Stores were still running an extra 40% off as of yesterday, 1/17. That's the route you should aim for if you're in the market for this sweater. Final sale sucks, though, doesn't it? We say that regularly, but it bears repeating.

I miss many of you. I haven't been able to visit blogs very often these days. Mini G went from crying in a colicky way to good sleep. I felt quite rewarded after weeks of not being able to soothe her regularly. As of late we're having a sleep regression or transition, if I want to be positive. In the past week she prefers to take naps using the boob as a pillow. I do pretty good typing w/one hand, but sometimes I just sit and stare at her in my arm or sleep along with if I can. Not a bad way to spend some time :)

MUSTHAVE for 30% off final sale continues

  1. Thanks for the review Gigi! Have been wondering about this one. Love how A-P wore it, so brilliant. And I think spending time looking at mini-G is much more important than anything else. :)

  2. I might have to see if my store has this. I really like it!

  3. Gigi, I love my Maclister shearling wedge booties too! I've been wearing them w/o socks because the sherpa feels so good! Have a nice day!

  4. I don't comment that often but I just wanted to say that as a J Crew fan, I appreciate your informative blog and am so impressed at how you are able to manage it while caring for very precious little one with colick. Thanks for all of the great reviews and up to date sales info and congrats on mini-G.

  5. Adorable! I really like the green/lavender combo best on you!

  6. HI Gigi, I just looked at Atlantic Pacific's styling and when I clicked on the link for her sweater, color code "PBH" is "pine bough hyacinth" which makes me want to buy it just for the poetry!

  7. Watching Mini G sleep must be adorable. My only area for comparison is that I sometimes love to watch my pup sleep, and there's nothing like cuddling with a sleepy pup first thing in the morning!

  8. I'm impressed you're able to blog at all with an infant :)

  9. Thanks so much for this great review, as always! I just received the pine bough hyacinth version of this sweater today. And, I agree, watching Mini G sleep must be amazing. I am so very happy for you!!!!

  10. Love the pink one, of course!

No worries about us. Mini G is more important!

  11. not so bad at all...and love your boots!

  12. So cute, that little Mini-G. Ahh, to hold a sleeping baby on your bosom.. (airy sigh....). So cute. Love your recent post-baby posts. They seem to be more frank, funny, candid, and a little more "Gigi" if that makes sense ;-)
