p.s. Gap is having a 50% off select sweaters sale, today only. They have a cashmere pointelle open sweater included in the promo ($64 sale price). There are nice colors in the long sleeve scoopneck sweater ($19.98 sale), some of which would look good w/J Crew items.

p.p.s. Gilt has a Kelsi Dagger shoe boutique open. If you're interested in JC's Darby patent loafer ($198), you might try this $49 loafer by Kelsi Dagger. Sign up and save 20% off your first purchase with Gilt. Click here to join.

Make it stop

Promos, that is. Just kidding, of course. Promos are good. Just very, very tempting. I put it one final order in the Crewniverse with SURPRISE for 25% off. That'll be three placed this week. The total weren't outrageous, though, and no final sale right now, so I can return if needed. At the last minute I remembered the bubble necklace I saw on a key holder at J Crew. You know their mgrs have different names than the norm. So yeah, a key holder was wearing it. It looked great w/a chambray top rolled at the sleeves and a tank underneath. I think she might've had on jeans. I can't recall. All I know is I don't want to be on Ebay in a few months trying to figure out if I should bid on one of these or not. Y'know, 'authenticity' and everything.

* Bubble necklace ($150)
* Selvedge chambray popover ($98)
* Cowlneck tank ($19.99)
* Topshop tank ($12)

Did the Crewlade get you this week or were you able to refrain...? Do you have the bubble necklace? Is it as versatile as you thought it'd be?

Talbots - 50% off one item

Save 50% off one full price item between the hours of 6a and 2p on The code is FIFTY. You can still use FRIENDS for 30% off sale items.

Brush Back Wool Sheath ($159) - Currently on sale for $119.99. Use FRIENDS for 30% off. This dress comes in black and a blue/green called cyan. The sheaths at Talbots have very clean lines, as sheaths should. They also do a beautiful red. Usually a true red.

Fair Isle turtleneck ($99) - It comes in red, which looks beautiful. 50% off this with FIFTY thru 2p.

Double face luster wool top ($149) - FIFTY also good on this for 50% off thru 2p. It only comes in this one color. I really, really love this top. Shop With M tried it on and it looked great on her. I'm refraining from ordering since I ordered twice during YOURGIFT at J Crew. If I had my way, I'd order the sweater directly above and this top. And I'd wear this with JC's graceful pearl necklace. Mmm hmmmm. Whew. I almost talked myself into this. Free shipping no minimum makes it so easy to click.

Shoes are always great at Talbots. Most of their options are leather, with leather soles. My faves are the colorblocked options, esp the ones w/the bows.

Another blogger to look for is Rose of 1 More Shopping Blog who has irl pics. I don't have time to link as I usually do, but I might have a link to her blog on my sidebar in the Codes section. If you order anything, share. That definitely helps me all narrow down merch to the best picks. :)

J Crew - scoopneck blouse in wildcat

J Crew's scoopneck blouse in wildcat (57672, $118) runs 00-14. The color pattern is called savannah.

Size 4 - chest = 37.5"
Size 6 - chest = 38.5"

Size 4 - This is a bit clingy for me at the moment, but I feel it's the right size. I'm usually a 4 or 6P in JC tops.The material doesn't feel like silk or anything, but it has a nice feel to it. 100% rayon. Check it out on 1 More Shopping Blog, on Couture and Crayons, on Ema, on Fashion At Fortyon Mom's A Fashion Dork and on ShoperaRach.

My issue w/this top is the sleeve length. If it were bracelet sleeve length, it would be perfect. It's not and I didn't think the sleeves looked good w/the extra fabric.

See, sleeves are too long and do not suffer from skinny arm syndrome. The pattern is great, though, and not cartoonish like some animal prints. Those are the ones that go in and out of style, imo.

More wildcat
* Natasha top ($98)
* Jules dress ($188)
* Jenna's cardigan ($89.50) - I decided on this instead of the scoopneck top. I can wear it buttoned all the way to the top, which gives a similar look to this (long sleeves, round neckline). Or I can unbutton the top few buttons and have a tee peeking out from under. I took my usual S in this and would say do not size up.

* Girls wildcat chinos ($68)
* Girls wildcat popover ($69.50)

Chime in...

YOURGIFT for 25% off sitewide & free shipping on a net subtotal of $150 or more ends tonite
Although I'm betting it gets extended thru Mon. Just guessing. No inside info.

J Crew on Net-A-Porter

I've never shopped on Net-A-Porter. And like ending up in the wrong neighborhood -- albeit a 'good' one -- I found myself on the site this afternoon. The 'hood is good. Free shipping & returns on all US orders. Here are some bargains some of you may be interested in:

Blackwatch plaid blazer ($161) - I had no interest in this personally. I thought the colors were a bit dark. I saw it on my ps, who could probably pass for someone in my family, and I still wasn't attracted to it. I did get the Alexa Chung scarf in that color pattern and the Factory blackwatch trousers (6), which are lined, btw. YOURGIFT for 25% off $150 will work on those pants. Back to this blazer on NP...sizes 0, 2 & 6 remain.

Cashmere cardi ($119) - I don't keep up with or buy much of J Crew cashmere. I have 4 pieces and haven't worn them much. Quite honestly, I don't know much about the fabric to know if I'm buying good stuff or not. I just know I don't like pilling. This is a long winded way of saying I don't know what the J Crew name of this cardi is. It also comes in green.

Metallic-print linen top ($40.80) - Another one I don't recall the name of. I do believe it sold quickly on the JC site, before many of them could make it to sale. See it on 1 More Shopping Blog (3rd pic)

Printed silk-shantung dress ($105) - This was called the souvenir dress on the JC site. See it on I'm Shoe Shopping and on kelinda.KELINDA. I know it went down to $99.99, but I'm not sure it went any lower.

Madras checked cotton shirt ($105) - This was called the perfect shirt in schoolboy madras on the JC site. See it on Egyptomaniac.

Cotton-blend lace shell ($61.60) - Irl pics and links to other blogger irl pics. This was called the Leslie lace shell on the JC site. It went down to $49.99 and then $29.99. I haven't seen it pop back very much, if at all once it got to the $29.99 price. I figured the Net-A-Porter price might be worth it to someone. Given what we've seen on Ebay, a buyer can usually be found.

I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. Thank you for the Thanksgiving greetings. I didn't get a chance to make blog rounds that day, but I was wishing you well!! :)
