J Crew's sailor sweater (37905, $88) runs XXS - XL. The color choices are seaweed ivory and black linen. 55% silk, 45% linen. Dry clean. Boo.

Size S - The fit on this seemed ok. However, I didn't know it runs down to XXS. I'd try XS to be sure of the fit. I liked this. Thumbs up. J Crew - stripe button-back tee

J Crew's stripe button-back tee (37810, $39.50) runs XXS - XL. If you didn't know, when JC makes items down to XXS, it sometimes means you should size down one. The color choices are dark slate ivory, English saddle ivory, spiced olive ivory and neon pink.

Size XS - I forgot to snap the back. It has buttons. Very cute. I have also tried the size S (not pictured) and it was too big. I recommend sizing down one on this. I bought it to replace my stripey bateau.

Here's my JC stripey bateau tee (below). I iron the neckline, but it rolls when I wear it. As I evaluated whether to keep it or not, I saw that the seams stretched out and loosening under the arms. I finally gave up on it. Questionable production is why some things don't pass my F21 test. However, I got plenty of wear out of this, so I don't feel ripped off.

Are you striped out yet? I'm not. I thought I was cool on striped tees and turns out I have fewer than I thought. I love florals, but have given up on them for the most part as they don't look that great on me. Figure it's ok to accept stripes (and plaid!) as my go-to print and double up. Will be featuring a cute, cute top from H&M. Will try to get it up later today or for tomorrow.

Gigi's Gear - Talbots striped cashmere sweater

Hello - hope you all are doing well. I purchased this striped cashmere short slv sweater from Talbots last summer, I believe. I don't think I've featured this outfit. At least I hope I haven't. The uniforms -- blazer + top + jeans -- start to blend in.

J Crew - quilted double-breasted puffer

J Crew's quilted double-breasted puffer (34250) runs XS - XL. The color choices are heirloom pink and dark navy.


Size S - The heirloom pink looks pretty. I didn't see that one in-store.The jacket...eh. I am going by memory, but I'd say that it's more spring than winter. I'm not sure how far it will get you in cold weather. It wasn't too shiny. I don't recall the jacket being too noisy or the material being irritating. The quilting is nice. I think I felt a teense puffy in it, as puffers tend to do. For this length, I like puffer vests, but not puffer jackets. Check it out on One Too Many Closets.

I *did* shop JC's 40% yesterday. I didn't buy anything until that massive re-stock kicked in and I just happened to be around. I was able to get a few popbacks for much cheaper and spent a net $113 getting a couple things that had eluded me. I'm now religiously logging all clothing purchases on my spreadsheet. It makes a huge difference. I've also unsubscribed to a ton of retailers. I was subscribing to a good number of them in the interest of sharing information here. There are so many other sites that do it. It's such a time waster for me to click around in excess.

That just cracked me up. They're not guaranteed once you check out either! *lol* Good ole J Crew. All I know is I will be elated when they revamp their website.

J Crew - pararuffle shirt

J Crew's pararuffle shirt (36639, $98) is currently on promo for $78. It comes in white and dark pewter, sizes 0-14.


Size 4 - Dark pewter - I wasn't excited when I saw this. I think it's the color and fabric (a bit stuff) that made me think post-apocalypse, runway style of course. This is an abbreviated version of the sweeping ruffles shirt. I didn't care for that one either. Last year's swann ruffle shirtdress was my fave. It's fluid and soft. Pararuffle, not so much.

It looks better w/a necklace.
