For those curious, yes I bit on this promo. Just so you know I am cracking up because I typed porno. I just bit on this porno...*lol*...(slaps knee...hard). Trying to recover. I went for the Allura dress (4) and Delaney blouse (6P). I think the Delaney will go down in price, esp in petite. However, I didn't want to risk the white disappearing from right underneath my nose. I really like the lace at the bottom of the shirt. The Allura might go down, but it could go up in price before it goes down. If I were able to get a lower price, I could risk it hopping out of my cart before I'm able to snag it. The navy is worth it to me at the price now. I haven't had the fever for stalking things in quite awhile and don't want to catch it anytime soon.

And hey...JCAs don't let JCAs shop final sale without the links to irl pics.

  1. The promo thing confuses me a bit. I ordered this morning, and did awhile ago, and some promo items end in .99 but don't say final sale when I'm checking out and didn't say that on my receipt with the items. I think it still has to say final sale for that them to be non-returnable, even if they end in .99...

  2. Heather - This was discussed on the Mothership a bit today. If it ends in .00, it's on promo. If it ends in .99, it's supposed to be final sale.

Some people have mentioned that their items ending in .99 did not have final sale language online, nor did it show up on their receipt. However, when taking said item in to return, the SA didn't want to return it because the item ended in .99. Yes, the SA didn't want to return an item ending in .99, even though there was no final sale language on the receipt. Depends on what your receipt says and who you get in the store, I suppose.

While we're on the topic, some items will end in .99/final sale and have a price change back to .00/regular price. I can't say it happens a ton, but it definitely happened on the Super 120s Elan trouser.

We all need a little luck in the Crewniverse because it seems to lack gravity at times.

  3. Glad you picked up the Allura dress as it looks fabulous on you. I would go for the navy color too if I continue to be tempted by this dress.

  7. I'm mostly just a lurker but I just have to say I am getting so tired of Jcrew making me jump through their hoops. I ordered the Belmarin pant yesterday and today it is $20 cheaper. That is not an insignificant amount! I even called CS just to say, that's not good practice. Gap will give you the price difference even if you use a promo code, so will Macy's. The only b&m near me does not carry petites, so I have to experiment when ordering anyway. I've tried LECanvas, LOFT, Talbots, but I always go back to the Crew, even though they treat me like dirt! it's like a toxic relationship, LOL! Their clothes are just the most stylish, unfortunately.

Anyway,I love your blog, plus we are about the same size so thanks for trying so much stuff on!

  8. Unless there is something that I absolutely have to have before it sells out or a popback that I was stalking (which I do less and less), I normally wait for the last day, especially if the last day is a Wednesday/Thursday (Wednesday is generally markdown day). Had I ordered the first day, I would have paid $30 more for the boathouse shirtdress (it is now fs but went from $88 to $59.99). Just a suggestion...
