Old Navy - new arrivals (2 of 3)

First up...a few picks from Banana Republic. There are a few more hours to use the CARD25 promo for 25% off your purchase if you use your BR/ON/Gap card. It's tempting to wait for lower prices, but many retailers are selling out of certain sizes during the first run of promos like these.

* Checkered camper shirt - The online pic isn't telling a story. If it's anything like the other camp shirts I've seen at BR, this is a winner. Good for casual, or tucking into a pencil skirt.

* Circle-print wrap dress - Limited sizes. Worth checking out at $60 on sale.

* Cotton ruffle blouse - I love how they have it styled w/the skirt. The model is so cute w/her hair pulled back. Some little earrings like these would be nice with it.

* Monogram crinkled draped dress - Also a good bargain at $60.

* Ruffle-neck tank - Cute top. We've seen this idea before, but I'm a sucker for grey.

* Shirred tank - I love the colors on this. The shirring at the front could be flattering for a number of figures. Sometimes it makes you look really trim from the underarm downward.

As promised...more new arrivals from Old Navy...at least new to me:

Tie-belt tunic - Me likey. Also there is a plus size cut available.

Size XS - Too tight in the chest. I really liked this one. They did a store search for a S and the closest store was...well, it wasn't close. What was interesting is that it wasn't available in San Francisco, which has a flagship. Hello! I don't know if they haven't recvd it yet or are sold out. It's available online in regular, tall & petite sizes. Some are already sold out.

Chambray boyfriend - It also comes in white. I want to share the online pic so you can see that the blue color isn't one solid color. There are different tones created by the wash (I guess).

Size S - It definitely runs big. I mean, it's boyfriend, but it felt sloppy big in the S. Unfortunately there was no XS for me to try to get a better feel for sizing.

Size S - The white reminded me of the 80s. Not in a bad way. Just in a with-black-leggings & red-lipstick-with-gold-hoop-earrings-way. Like Sade...and that's certainly not bad.

Romper! - *lol* I don't even know if I ever wore any of these. Knowing my parents, they probably found them too revealing.

Size S - What a cute surprise. I really liked this. I can't say I'd wear it, though.. If I did, I definitely would not Beyonce it with a fur coat & some heels, but it could be good...somewhere. I think the downside to this item is if your top varies in size a great deal from your bottom, this may not work.

I would try this with a long necklace or two and carry a cardi for warmth. It's a lightweight material, so I don't know if you can do a jacket, but definitely a cardi.

Rosette tank - Oh my. This is really cute. I didn't see it in-store. This price point of $12.50 is much easier on the wallet than a similar one from J Crew last spring ($29.50). It's ribbed, which I'm not totally fond of. I know for sure that Banana Republic does the ribbing where it's more subtle, and not pronounced. Not sure what the ribbing is like on this tank. The website remarks state that it has a longer length, so if you don't want that you might want to order a petite. At least I probably would.

Belted long cardi - If you like the long length, this is for you. I think I saw this in-store and it's on the lightweight side. The V looks a little low, but I like it.

Shawl collar cardi - This one also might be on the lightweight side, but I'm not sure. It's similar in silhouette to the one they offered this past fall. Could be the same one. That one was lightweight for winter, imo.

Fitted cardigan - I love pink & orange. I saw these in person and they're a nice, basic cardigan at the price point. The yellow/tan stripe is also nice. I didn't try it on for fear me likey. My cardi party is over capacity.

Also in the Gap family, these two picks are from Piper Lime (too bad the 25% isn't good here as well)
Seychelles Broadway - I'm all about the tall yet flat boot. I've definitely worn them over heeled boots recently.

Nine West Advent - Great for easy movement; not too high. Also comes in black. Leather upper & they're $50.

Glaydies...after this post, a dress post and this post on Old Navy...I'm still not finished sharing irl pics. If I don't get to one tonite, I'll drop it tomorrow afternoon.

Old Navy - new arrivals (1 of 3)

I have quite a few pics from ON, so I'll be doing at least one more post after this one today.

Ruffled-Neck Cardigan - Comes in 6 colors

Size XS - With the Weekend jeans in size 6 regular. I was very disappointed that these were distressed with slashes. You can't see that in the photo. I can deal with a slight worn in look, though I don't like it too much on white pants. All out slashes I cannot deal with.

Beaded cuff bracelet - I ended up returning this. Seed beads aren't my favorite, I'm starting to realize. I have a few pieces and that's fine. I think I prefer a stone bracelet like this one.

Seed bead necklace -This is done pretty well. If the coin pieces bug, you could always remove them. I think they add interest. Apparently you have to loose & pull the cord on this to size it. I couldn't figure that out without feeling like I was going to break it.

Ribbed scoop-neck tee - I really liked the turquoise accent on this. I just don't like ribbing on a tee. The ribbing adds weight in-person, imo. I think this is a S.

Cinch-tie cardigan - Size S - I really liked this one. It felt comfortable on. Maternity alert, for those of you expecting. It would be a good transition piece, I'm guessing.

Flower applique cardigan - I didn't see this in-store yesterday. So cute. It also comes in a navy color w/the lighter applique.

Cropped rosette cardi - This looks adorable. Yah, yah, you can stick a flower pin on a sweater. I agree. The upside to cardis like this is the appliques are so light they're not going to weigh the sweater down like flower pins can.

~ Clearance rack ~

* Cotton twill shift dress - Limited sizes left, but I like the look of the khaki and that happens to be the lowest in price at $9.99. The description doesn't mention pockets, but you may not want them if you're trying to layer under with a turtleneck or over with a blazer.

* Denim pencil skirt - In black, sizes 0-6 & 20 still available on sale. I wear a 2 regular in ON pencil skirts. Or check out this one -- now $9.99! --that I tried on here.

* One-button blazer - Chocolate brown for $14.99. It looks like the one from this post. However, this one appears to have a little ruching at the shoulders. That sometimes works for me sometimes not. But for $14.99...

* Satin trimmed cardi - $9.99 - $14.99 - There are also a couple colors left in Tall and heather oatmeal in plus sizes. Urrrxtra primo good price if you can use the EXTRA25, which ends today. You need to have a BR/Gap/ON card for the promo.

Thanks for stopping by...

Old Navy - ruffle trim jersey dress

Old Navy's ruffle-trim jersey dress retails for $24.50. It comes in this stripe, and solid colors.

Size S - This was too big. I looked for an XS, but didn't see it. The ruffle is so cute. The rest of the dress is not so exciting on me, I admit, but the ruffle is definitely cute.

Size XS - So the dress above was pretty cute...at least I was sold on the ruffle. Then I tried on this one. So cute. And it has a casual or dressy feel.  I'm wearing J Crew's metallic driving moc like these and these.

Shoe Ideas - Obviously black will work, a thong, other flat or pump. I am also going to try a nude wedge or sandal, red and orange.

J Crew - cashmere ruffled henley

J Crew's cashmere ruffled henley (18243) had an original retail of $178 and is on sale for $129.99. You can use EXTRA30 to save an additional 30% on sale items. YOu will also get free shippin on orders of $150+ after 30% discount on sale items and before shipping, handling and tax. Many people already know this, but just in case...

Size S - The fit was fine and it felt cozy. I don't think I'd want an XS.

Other EXTRA30 items to consider...

* Cambridge cable cardigan - $59.99 - I have last year's version and I love it.

* Cambridge cable turtleneck sweater - I love the bright seaside & I think light berry is a classic.

* Cambridge cable V-neck sweater - $49.99 - Love v-necks.

* Dream cabin cardi - I reviewed it this post.

* Dream crewneck cardi - $49.99 - I was mad at the Dream fabric for a period of time, but I'm pretty happy with it again. I've been wearing a couple of my turtlenecks from last year under coats and not too much pilling.

And in case you haven't seen my comprehensive list of J Crew final sale items that have irl pics & links to other bloggers, check it out.

Thanks for stopping by. I will be reviewing J Crew new arrivals soon!

Loungin' baby

First up....

Remember to enter the purse organizer giveaway sponsored by The Plaid Purse. I am really enjoying my wrap around organizer!!
*****************************************

I'm in the final stage of healing and I'm trying to look good while I do it. I used to wear mismatch whatever lounge clothes, but now I'm achieving one of my desires to look good at home. Yay.

Ribbed tank (s): Banana Republic
Cardi (xs): J Crew rumpled terry 08 (Click here for similar)
Lounge pants (s): Old Navy 08 (Similar in regular, plus and maternity)

I was in Tarjay the other day & saw the cutest loungewear. Here are a few of them.

Xhilaration Juniors Cami/Short Pajama Set - These sets run S, M or L. The downside to this is if you are a S on top and M or L on bottom. I like the ruffled hem on the tank and shorts.

Xhilaration Juniors Fashion Chemise - How cute is that bow? The top on this chemise is the same as the cami above, so if you prefer a one-piece, here it is. It also comes in salmon, athens blue and fantastic aqua. I walked away from this when I saw it the other day, but I might have to go back and pick one up.

Xhilaration Juniors Chemise - Ebony/Heather Gray  - I didn't see this in-person but it looks tres super cute. Can't tell exactly from the pic, but it looks like they've given us a little ruffle action w/the white part. And a ruffle hem. Thank you, Tarjay! Oh, it also comes in a cami/shorts set.

One more...Xhilaration Racerback Cami/Short Pajamas Set - Red - Valentime's Day!

Stay comfy & cute! Thanks for visiting.
