Size XS - Quite the voluminous sweater. It's nice, but the scale wasn't for me (5'2"). Check it out on Downtown Diaries.
Pants (28496, Size 6): J Crew woolen twill Minnie pant - Too big. I got the warm taupe in size 4.
Jeans (29): J Crew toothpick ankle jean - I now realize this size is too big. I should have the 28s. They stretch out during the day.
Chime in...

Gigi, have you by any chance seen the bonfire cardigan IRL? On the website, it looks almost identical to the Apres cardigan except in different colors.
ReplyDeleteAndrea - I noticed the bonfire cardi last nite. The après is 100% lambswool and the bonfire is described as marled cotton. I believe they're identical other than fabrics.
ReplyDeletehey gigi! thx for the connect! aw you didn't like the apres cardigan?? i really love mine!! look forward to seeing what else you review! i buy a lot of clothes from j.crew so i'll be posting tons more! happy holidays!

Downtown Diaries - You're welcome for the linkage. I'm only 5'2" so this one kind of swallowed me. I found a more favorable oversized sweater to drown in ;-)
ReplyDeleteThis is the beauty of having different body types :) We can all wear the same thing and still look different! I'm 5'1" and I bought a small; I definitely plan on wearing this with skinny pants (anything with a tapered leg) and I love the chunkiness of it. Mine falls straight down in the back, but it looks surprisingly flattering despite my bustiness. I'm delighted by how cozy it is, but not so thrilled it's dry clean only :P
ReplyDeleteChrissy And yes, hair is a factor, too. Sometimes I miss having long hair. It could always put it in a bun or out of the way to keep focus on the outfit. I forget to mention that sometimes things just conflict w/my 'do.
