I was really excited about a v-neck graphic. The tee didn't do anything for me. And neither did the 3 embellishments at my stomach. Boo.

I don't know why i have kept this tee. I keep hopng to hook it up with the right pieces to make it work. If the graphics were darker like the tee from the preview, it would have flown off the shelves.It does look good on you gigi, bland color and all.
ReplyDeleteI really like that tee. It was sold out except for a couple of XL's in 3 J Crew's I visisted while in Atl. (Lenox's tables were so messy I couldn't tell what was there lol) I love the striped scarf... may need to get that one.
ReplyDeleteI'm not big on v-neck t-shirts for myself so I passed on Imperial T. BUT, I did order the scarf, but in the larger/thicker stripe online-I think it's called Black/champagne. I really like it and I didn't have any striped scarves so it's a nice addition to the accessory wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteI think the tee looks adorable on the model (and this applies to every graphic tee from JCrew), but for some reason they just don't work that well for me...they make me look all lumpy if I wear a small, but they are tents if I get a medium. Sad :(

ReplyDeleteThe way some people go for any old graphic tee from jcrew is just goofy. This one doesn't look good on anyone I have seen yet. And no offense but these photos are why I have not bought into the ACV hype. Cuz that's what it is, just hype.

I can't wear those tshirts with my tummy, but it looks great on you. I wish mine could be that flat! The scarf is really cute, too, but I usually try to get a bright color when it's near my face.

* FabulousFloridaMommy - I got a M. It was the only one on the rack, so I couldn't try any others. I usually take M in Xhiliration, so I don't think I'd like a S. the dress is so cute. It's very ballerina, but it doesn't look like you've come from dance class.
DaniBP - We'll see what ts they offer for fall. I don't plan on getting anymore graphic tees, but I'll be curious to see what they offer. Maybe you'll find one that's fit for you.
I passed on the tee because I just wasn't feeling another sheer tee that needed a cami underneath. But I think the design is very cute. Like with the scarf...
ReplyDeleteYou know...the detail of the three stones is kind of weird and unnecessary. I like the top okay on you, but those darn stones, just want to rip them off...and if a tee is going to make me that crazy, then it isn't worth the money! ;)

Oh I liked this tee enough to purchase it when it first came out (along with the whirling ruffles cardigan in grey). I'm not ga-ga over all the other embellished tee's JCrew keeps producing like crazy. The last tee I bought before the Imperial Tee was a candy tee during the holidays.

When I saw the ON striped scarf I thought of the JC one and the price is great. I tried on the Imperial tee also and it didn't do anything for me and it was too thin. These days I'm weary of JC graphic tees since they are easily prone to tiny holes. Boo....
