LAME.
Thanks to others who have asked before swiping pics. I appreciate it. *********************************************************
I was in Las Vegas recently and stayed in the beautiful Bellagio Hotel. The indoor garden area is so relaxing.

I have never been to the Las Vegas outlets, so I decided to brave The Deuce (their bus system) and have an adventure. That's another story. The middle of my excursion contains my first ever Auntie Anne's pretzel dog. It ends with a glass of champagne. Don't worry. I'm going straight to the details because this is going to be a long post.
Here are some of the items I saw in the Banana Republic outlet. They were having 40% off the entire store!
As I went around, I snapped a few random shots, so those are up first. I don't have all the price info. Basically, I want to give you an idea of what's possibly in an outlet near you and you can decide if it's worth a trip. We know outlets can be hit or miss. I kept the pics small, but you can click on them to view in a larger size.
Safari shirt dress

Pink knot dress
Zebra tank - $44.99. I don't recall touching it, so I can't say if it's cotton, polyester or silk. That's a yellow butterfly sleeve sweater tunic behind it. That felt like a ramie/cotton blend, but it could have been cotton/linen.
Random shirts - Not exciting to me, but some of us need basics.
Patterned coat - $139.99, the exterior is cotton, lining acetate
Random orange sweater. It felt good on. A nice basic, but I was fine leaving it in the store.
Cute crop jeans - can't recall the size or the price
They messed them up with by stitching B. Republic on the cuff. Uhn uhn.

Very pretty blue sheath. I wanna say it was $99.99, but it might have been more.
I really, really liked it, but not sure I'd wear it.
T-shirt dress - size S, $36.99, Nice and a good price at net $24 or so, but I already have t-shirt dresses.
Size 4 - $89.99, This was a bit big. I would have gotten a 2 or 4P. It was my least favorite dress I tried on.
Me loveth this orange coat. I was dancing in the dressing room. Sorry, none of the pics came out of that. This had to come home with me. It was $149.99 before the 40%. This is a size 6P. Some of you may own or have seen the version of this they had last Fall. I didn't care for that one even though this one is essentially the same. I think this one is a couple shades lighter and I'm sure it's a bit less well made, but I'll be feeling like a cool million in it.
I love a dress w/pockets! I think it was $89.99 before the 40% off.
Closer so you can see the detail. Size 6P or 4.
I kind of like it w/the flower, but I still can't decide if I'm keeping it or not. The flower doesn't look as wild and oversized in person as it does in the pic. The flower pin/barrette is from H&M and was $5.90.
JNJ says...
"If you are a AAA member, bring your ID to 'Guest Services' and ask for the discount brochure (good for a quite a number of the outlet stores). You should get this for free. (Normally, you'd have to pay for it if you don't have AAA.) For BR, they typically offer things like 15% off with minimum purchase of $75 or $100. This is on top of whatever promotion is going on in store."
That tip was dyno-mite! Thanks so much!
Any of these thrill you? If you have any outlet tips you'd like to share, you are cordially invited.
Chime in...

You looked so nice in so many of them. Loved the orange top and cute cropped jeans. Very flattering. Also that blue sheath dress...looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat ebay seller is lame. Wow. I guess this has happened to that Chloe woman from the chloe conspiracy, too.
My husband spends a lot of hours on ebay...wouldn't it be funny if he came across my photo randomly one day? I can just imagine that conversation...
:) Glad you got to go to Las Vegas...have a great rest of the weekend!
The white dress looks great on you! Nice and fresh for the summer.
ReplyDeleteI love the white dress too. We have a Banana outlet and the only J. Crew factory store in Ohio about an hour away from Cincinnati...I know some folks don't like J. Crew factory but I have found some cute sweaters and tops in there. I have to be in the mood to outlet shop but when I am I love it!
ReplyDeleteI was at the BR outlet last Saturday and they were running the 40% off the entire store thenm too. I tried on the white denim cuffed capri and had to walk away b/c I didn't like the name one the cuff. Why would they do that! seriously. I did buy a pair of dark denim trouser jeans. Outlets are definate hit or miss. we have a j.crew outlet near me and the bf gets his jeans there. Same as the store, only about $40+ cheaper! You win some, you lose some. But had i seen that orange coat...we might have been twins! Good score!
ReplyDeleteI's sorry to hear about the picture swiping. I have read of this happening to so many bloggers, it's unfortunate. Watermarks are a great idea and necessary, I suppose, but too bad it has to come to that.
ReplyDeleteI love the white dress and the orange coat! The BR near me (about an hour away) is usually such a mess and so crowded that I can't find a thing!
Thanks for posting! How did you get the watermark on your photos? Is it difficult to do?
ReplyDeleteHey Gigi - You look great in that orange coat. Great find. I also like how you added the flower to your white dress to give it a spring feel.
ReplyDeleteI believe I have that exact same blue shirt dress but I bought it last year or the year before at a BR outlet and it became a night shirt - LOL. Def. didn't hold up well in the wash. (BTW - that one picture wouldn't enlarge when I clicked on it but the others do.)
Anyhoo, outlet tip for y'all: If you are a AAA member, bring your ID to 'Guest Services' and ask for the discount brochure (good for a quite a number of the outlet stores). You should get this for free. (Normally, you'd have to pay for it if you don't have AAA.) For BR, they typically offer things like 15% off with minimum purchase of $75 or $100. This is on top of whatever promotion is going on in store.
The JCrew outlet is def. hit or miss with sizing/quality. I've been skipping them for a long while now unless it's just for my guy since the they usually have better offerings for the men.
You look great in orange. Even though it's BR, Jenna should have you model for her! I also like the blue sheath dress.
ReplyDeleteIMO Banana Republic has THE BEST dresses! I LOVED this POST where you tried on some different BR dresses! Actually--I thought almost every single one looked stunning!
ReplyDeleteThe one you bought--the white one is AWESOME--and the flower accessory looks hot!
Great post!
Ohhh...and I also have a passion for "orange" coats! The BR one is super! I have the JCREW Lady Pembroke in Fresh Tangerine--IRL on my blog!
ReplyDeletedinagideon - Thanks ;-). Chloe looks great in her clothes. I am not surprised that they were swiped for eBay. I hope your pics aren't used.
ReplyDeleteKathy - Thank you. I'm undecided about the dress. I think because it makes my chest looks so full and it adds weight. We'll see.
JL - My J Crew outlet is about 45 min away. It's good to go when you know they're having a sale on things you might want.
Pamela - I've decided I'm going to call the outlets in advance since I don't get the emails. It's totally hit or miss so I have to be in the mood. Good tip about J Crew for men. I'll have to look next time I'm in the outlet.
Sea Glass Mom - It pays to go to stores early when everything is ordrely & in its place. If you can.
GingerSnap - My husband helped me set up the watermark in Photoshop. Now I open every pic in Photoshop, open the watermark & apply it. PITA, but it has to be done. I don't think I'd be much help, esp if you don't use Photoshop. You might put out a request thru your blog & see if someone can share an easy way to do it.
JNJ - *lol* You said it. The t-shirt dress is close to a night shirt. Maybe that's why I passed. I love the color, though. Thanks for the great outlet shopping tip. I added it to the main post.
st - Thanks so much. :-)
luvallthingsjcrew - BR usually has a good set of dress offerings at all times. I can usually find *one* I like, if not two or three. I thought I had subscribed to your blog, but I hear they drop off sometimes. Saw the coat. Luvs it!
That dress is just fantastic on yo - love love love it! And lovey the orange flower, too!
ReplyDeleteAlso love the orange coat; that color is great.
I think you definitely got some nice finds!!
Awesome finds!! That white dress is so pretty, and that orange jacket is so fun! Thanks for posting...I have a BR outlet near my house and may have to visit soon :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for reviewing items from the Banana Republic outlet store. I have been a huge fan of this store as of late but I do live an hour away from the nearest one. This is great!
ReplyDeletePS-I have the orange coat and love it-you have great taste!
i am thrilled by the white dress. It looks gorgeous on you. oh and i love the pearls
ReplyDeleteHeidiG - Thanks girl. I'm really happy w/the orange coat, esp @ 40% off. White dress...up in the air.
ReplyDeleteJulia - Thanks for visiting. Remember to call in adv to see if they have any promos that will make it worth your while.
moneysavinggirl - Glad to help. The orange coat is the best.
Patina Cabachon - Thank you. :-) The pearl necklace is the pink cluster I recently got from F21 and have picked up for some readers. I really love it.
just got the zebra shirt over the weekend for $14.99 at the BR outlet in sam marcos, tx! if you have outlet malls in your area sign up on line and get sale info for most of the stores. if i would have printed the coupon, i would have gotten 20% more off.
ReplyDeleteAnon@8:25 PM - What a great deal! Good work ;-). I signed up for the outlets, but didn't receive anything. I should have been more peristent, but I was trying to pack, etc... Now I know the inside track for next time.
ReplyDeleteOhhh I love the Vegas outlets. Esp. The Primm Outlet. JCREW,BR,ON and Williams-Sonoma. LOVE IT!! Anyways, I love the orange coat and cropped jeans.
ReplyDeleteAbout that ebay seller? I don;t understand it either.
Enjoy the lovely Bellagio and of course SHopping!
I love the orange coat and white dress on you. Such fabulous finds and great prices.
ReplyDeleteJoanne - Thanks for chiming in. I didn't realize Wililams Sonoma had outlets. Where have -I- been? *lol*
ReplyDeleteAnon@9:11 PM - Thanks for visiting. I definitely got lucky at the outlets.
