I am calling this the v-neck ruffle tee. The style number is 14971 and I don't see it online. I believe this is $32.50. I swear this is not the same as the slub cotton ruffled scoopneck tee. The one pictured below doesn't have the bead detail sewn through the ruffle. And this one has a v-neck rather than a scoopneck.

XS

V-neck ruffle tee (this post) VS. slub scoopneck ruffle

Check it out on on champagneandcupcakes.
And also on Lizpoms.

Very much like- I will definitely be checking this one out to purchase. The v neckline is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLooks great on you, Gigi! :)
ReplyDeleteLove it on you - the neckline is so flattering! I tried it on yesterday in the white, and kept meaning to check for other colors but never did because so much was going on. I did end up getting the other ruffle tee in navy, but will look at this one when I go back to do returns. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI tried this shirt on here in the charcoal grey. I love it and I need it in the white!!!! Looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteI tried this same tee shirt in the black (or dark charcoal) and i LOVED it!!!! I didn't buy it, but now seeing it again, on your blog, im thinking that it would be a great addition to my closet:)
ReplyDeleteI love this tee- got it in the pale pink. Looks great on you Gigi!

ReplyDeleteIs this tee currently available to buy in the store, and if so, how much was it again?
ReplyDeleteme likey, likey on you and think i will likey on me, especially since it's not see thru. (smile)
ReplyDeleteLikey a lot! I love that pink on you Gigi! Does it also come in the celery color? That might be the one I want!
ReplyDeleteHi, I bought it in white and grey. Love it!! I sized up on the white because i like my wht tees not clingy. Bought my at jcrew store and cost $32.50(or.99). The material was thicker than the beaded scoopneck t.
ReplyDeleteellis - I highly recommend. It's cool that J Crew has a v-neck or scoopneck option.
ReplyDeleteFabulousFloridaMommy - Thanks, glaydie :-)
HeidiG - I know...isn't it easy to get distracted in the store? I forgot to look for other colors besides the pink. Ah well. So looking forward to the JCA/DC recap.
KatyO. - Yes. Need. White. Get. it. ;-)
mrs.anketell - Hello & welcome. Dark charcoal is a great color. Looks so good w/pearls. I think it's $32.50, as someone posted.
JTS - I know the color. It's so pretty. Enjoy wearing it. :-0
shopaholicdiva1027 - Yes, I predict that you will ilkey.
Donna - Good to see you. Not sure if it comes in celery. I get distracted easily & forget to look for other colors in things.
Anon@ 9:57 AM - Ooooh, grey. Must check it out. I also don't like tighty whities. And I prefer this in white over the slub (scoopneck) material in white.
Not to be confused with the Slub cotton ripple-ruffle short-sleeve tee ;-).
ReplyDeleteI have counted how many item names in the new catalog bear the word "ruffle" or "ruffled" (I know, I've nothing to do all day) and I was surprised that they are less then 10 (9, actually) counting the swimwear but not crewcuts (I was expecting 20 at least)
I really like this tee! It looks awesome...but I don't think I'm willing to pay 32 bucks for it!
ReplyDeleteVery nice though!
Thanks for the review, Gigi! I think the shirt is soo flattering, but does anyone know if these might shrink in the wash/dryer? I tried on an XS and it was still too big (along with all the other lovely T's I've been interested in getting)!
ReplyDeleteTIA
Ema - If you include Crewcuts the ruffle number jumps way over 20, I am sure. *lol* I'm also surprised it was only 9 or 10 by your count.
ReplyDeleteluvallthingsjcrew - I got 15% off, so it is definitely worth it to me. The ruffle is really cute and the tee is not see-thru. Have I sold it to you yet ;-)
JennLC - I would try to shrink it in the dryer a bit. I have never had a J Crew tee shrink on me, though, so...you might try another trick I read on JCA. I think you wash it and dry it until it's damp. Then you put it on and wear it till it dries. The person who shared the technique swears by it and a couple said they tried it and it worked. I haven't tried it myself.
Thanks Gigi! I may give it a go with the 25% off card =)
