Sweet cantaloupe

XS - The sweet cantaloupe doesn't register as sheer in person as it does in the photo. I think it's the lighting.

XS
With the Jackie cardi in endive. This cardi is a large. I just wanted to see if this idea would work as a twinset. Thumbs up.
3/28/09 ETA: close-up of bead detail stitched through ruffle. It's described on the website as "a whisper of bead detailing along the center."
Check it out on Lizpoms
Me likey. If I get a minute, I will try to photograph these at home to give a better idea of the color saturation on these.
Likey? No likey?
Chime in...

Those tees are pretty. Love the two colors you tried out. Hmm...maybe this weekend I will give them a shot at our DC JCA mtg.?
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
how thin is it? I think I'd need a cami underneath. http://isnotfashion.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeletepretty!! i likey!
ReplyDeleteI have the navy and really like it. Love how your paired it with the cardigan.
ReplyDeleteoops forgot to mention I first purchased the white but found it a little shear
ReplyDeleteThose are really cute. I like the cantaloupe color A LOT!!!
ReplyDeleteLooooove the celery!! Me likey and me wanty!
ReplyDeleteI like the cantaloupe and celery colors. Thanks for the pics Gigi:)
ReplyDeleteI tried this on a while ago in navy (of course) but the ruffles sat weird on it on me - some were flat and some stood up and I just got frustrated. Worth a second look, though I think. Really like the neckline - so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love this tee on you. The neckline detail is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteBoth colors look lovely on you!
ReplyDeleteI love the entire palette JCrew is using for their slubby tees this Spring and I've always completely preferred the slub cotton over the ringspun or tissue, so it's doubly sad that these tees just don't work for my body. I find the entire scale to be off on me: Length is way too long, neckline too wide and low... :(
So instead I've been eyeing the Loft slubs. Color selection is not as fresh, but I imagine the fit would be better, for me.
BTW, Gigi, I finally tried on the gateau skirt and found it totally works for me! What was really funny was that when the SA helping me saw me pick up the skirt, she inched over and muttered under her breath "I have to warn you, everyone who has tried on that skirt had really 'bad' reactions...'funny fit,' just so you know." But I tried it on anyway and LOVED it. I think with this skirt, you really have to try it on in different colors and sizes to see if it truly works for you.

Me lovey! I hope you bought at least one of these!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Gigi! My sister and I have been talking about this shirt and were wondering how it fit. We like the same colors you tried on. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love this shirt, I have it in the fog gray and navy. It is so comfy and the collar is very flattering. It has also held up well after washing. I washed in the "hand wash" cycle and then laid it flat to dry. the ruffles do need to be "fluffed" up while they are wet.
ReplyDeletelove this tee! i have it in slate and think it's really cute. i like the colors you tried on... i'm so one track mind sometime to neutrals i oversee the colors. but seeing them on you i like them, so i'll have to check them out.
ReplyDeleteI love this and it looks so pretty on you Gigi. I likey and may gettie at some point
ReplyDeleteI think this tee is really cute, but the XS was too big on me, so I am out of luck. :( It looks fantastic on you Gigi! :)
ReplyDeleteMe likey but not for full-price. $29.99 would be good. I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteTotally love that on you! Both colors are great! I'd def. buy those tops once they're on promo! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for mini- reviewing!
dinagideon - I'm so excited about your get-together. Looking forward to the recaps.
ReplyDeleteCari - I think it can be worn without a cami underneath, depending on the color.
krista.alana - Hey there. Me, too. Thanks for isiting.
amers72 - I didn't even see navy. I'll bet that's a nice classic. I know the white is too sheer on this for me. I agree.
Pamela - The cantaloupe is a beaut. And it beats yellow!
Donna - Hopefully you'll get a 25% coupon in the mail & pick one up. I really like these.
Emily - You're welcome & thanks for stopping by! :-)
HeidiG - There is another ruffle one that might look better. The one w/the v. I can't find it on the web. I tried it on though, so I'll be posting about it.
Petunia - I am a ruffle nut, so I love this.
Anon/LL - I agree. The color palette is very fresh and just enough saturation on most items. I was cracking up about your SA story & the gateau. They are so honest it's great. I agree that different sizes can make it look different. I may try it on again out of curiosity.
Jenny K. - Yes. I had to get both of the colors.
Allison - You each have to get one ;-)
lcsmom - Thanks for posting about your wash experience with this. Good tips & good to hear!
starla729 - Go for some color, Starla. I highly recommend it. :-)
shopaholicdiva1027 - You would look good in the cantaloupe, I think. W/your jewelry ;-).
FFM - Yes, if I am wearing an XS then there will be many who are sized out of this one.
JL - Luckily I got 15% off at a new store opening. There is some beading detail on it that's really cute. I think it's worth FP, but it's always always great to get sale.
ashley - We like many of the same things :-). Thanks for stopping by.
Gigi - you are always so helpful - and always looking out for us, so thank you. I think I know which v-neck you are referring to - someone else posted pics (can't remember who), so I will check it out!!
ReplyDeleteGigi that green one looks so good on you! I'm jealous :)
ReplyDeleteHi.. was at the crewlet (outlet mall) and found them at 30% off plus 15 % student discount .. final price 17$!! got it in a light green similar to the celery color in a small ... loove it and cant wait to wear it soon
