Kohl's...I said...I said...Kohl's? Size S. Oh me likey, me likey.

The interior isn't lined. Aaaand? Not a problem in my eyes.

Size S

It comes in 2 colors, the black and the white. Regular retail $42. I caught it on sale today for $24. I snapped up the white quickly. It runs S-XL or XXL. I can't recall. I think Kohl's runs their sales Wed-Wed, but I'm not sure. The 3/4 sleeve w/the flutter detail is cute on J Crew's jacket. However, I like the full sleeve length on the Kohl's version. Of course the stitching is not perfect at this price, but you only see that close-up. Machine washable. I think they did a slammin' job w/the knockoff. Likey!
Appeal to those who missed J Crew's Fiona?
Chime in...

Came across your blog a few days ago and am loving it! Love the look of Jcrew but prices are a bit high for me. Love the options you are presenting. Thanks for the review on the jacket. Hoping my Kohls still has a few at that price when I make it there on Tues. I agree with you about the sleeve length. Now which color shall I get? :)

*running to Kohl's right now* Thanks Gigi!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I am on a shopping ban. But I did just get a $31 check from the consignment shop, so it would more than balance out, right?
ReplyDelete(ps - my word verification is "nosebula". What is that??)
Argh - I saw this today and did not buy it (it was 19.99)! Will have to get there soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the tip. I usually do not look at the clothes at Kohl's except for Simply Vera and athletic wear. With the discount for using my Kohl's card, I got it for 18.74 (incl. tax) What a deal and a cute jacket!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great deal you caught! With the full sleeves, lighter fabric, and no lining, the Kohl version will probably be more wearable as the weather warms up. I'm always debating if I should get my Fiona altered (strip off the lining, shorten the ruffle trim on sleeves).
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of knock offs, Macy's has cloned the Fiona as well, twice.
There is a white version currently in stores that is very similar to your Kohl version. I think it is by one of Macy's lower in-house lines, maybe Style & Co. I saw it last week, but only glanced at it, so don't know if there are other color options and don't know the price.
What's still fresh in my mind though is the other Macy's version by INC. It came out late summer/early fall last year. That one had a cut identical to JC's, down to the sleeves. It also came in petites and the fit was just darling, better than JC's! It was cut from a lighter, warmer, cotton twill and unlined, so the jacket hung perfectly on the body. Very very unfortunately, it only came in an obnoxious black and sterile white print. Had a decent solid color been offered, I would've gladly traded in my JCs.
Anyhow, the current Macy's version may be worth checking out as an alternative to the Kohl version.

ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! But alas...there are no Kohl's for miles around me.
When Gigi goes shopping, she doesn't make herself happy only-she makes our entire community happy :)
ReplyDeleteI managed to snatch a sweet potato colored Fiona (don't hate me), but it's wool. It looks like this jacket would be great for Summer. Me likey too Gigi!!!

ReplyDeleteKatie sweater jacket, much?
Sparrows and sparkles - you're right...*running to Kohls right now*...Thanks GIGI =)
ReplyDeleteha ha, nosebula. Good Balderdash word!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is Fiona down to a T! Love it! I always feel sorry for the Fionas in JCs Final Sale online. They just keep hanging around and hangng around! I would totally buy the beige-y one if they would knock it down to $49 from $69!!
haha my word verification is *tramp*
ReplyDeletelove the jacket, but i already own the beige fiona (on sale for $40 before the holidays)
Anon@6:35AM - Thanks for joining us! I hear you on wanting the look of J Crew. I think the overall feeling can be achieved through pieces. They won't have the same special details, but they *will* have a lower price point. ;-)

sparrowsandsparkles - You're welcome :-)
HeidiG - What rules did you set for your shopping reduction? If it's no shopping then the consignment dollars have to wait. Unless you change your rules mid-game. *lol*
Ann Marie - Thanks for your post! I saw this and went to get the lower price today. The additional $3 savings was more psychological, but Kohl's was *right* off the freeway. I feel better knowing I did that.
Anon@12:54PM - What a deal indeed! Congratulations on saving additional money.
Anon/LL - Hey there. I've been wanting a white jacket, but not see through. I prefer no lining in this case since it will be a spring/early summer layer. I cannot imagine removing the Fiona lining unless you paid a low price for it. I saw the Fiona knock off by INC/Macy's. It was pretty good.

AppGal - You're not missing much at Kohl's. Except this. :-(
SanFranciscoCA - I am in your Fiona club. I have the sweet potato and happened to be wearing the heather acorn when I bought this.
Anon@3:45PM - Wow. They knocked off the Katie without any shame whatsoever. What a rip. Pretty good! =se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results
Anon@3:48 PM - Yay!
Paper Bag Princess - I fell for the heather acorn Fiona at $69. I am really pleased with it.
Lindsay - Some of the word verifications are hilarious. Major score for you on the acorn Fiona. That's great! I used to think it was silly to own the same thing in multiple colors, but if something works I do it.
Gigi WE LOVE YOU for tips like this. I am running, no, sprinting, to Kohl's this morning. The white looks fantastic on you, I hope they have it in my size.
ReplyDeleteOT but for anyone who likes the pearl cluster bracelet but not for $78 ... I bought the F&M knockoff yesterday and it is amazing. $5.90! Happy Sunday all.
Fiona is one of my most adored styles, and I agree that long sleeves and no lining is actually MORE wearable. Kohls' website has a Buy-One-Get-One-Free on this jacket right now, plus 99-cent shipping on any item. I ordered the black and the white in S, both for $42, and shipping was practically free.
ReplyDeleteGo for it, all, if they dont work out for you, you can return them to the B&M and you're only out 99 cents.
I blame you for the $100 I just spent at Kohls'! BAD influence!!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
I saw "Fiona" in the window of Benetton a few days ago! I didn't go in to check out the price, but I doubt it's cheap. It looks exactly the same, though.
ReplyDeleteGigi- duh, I just remembered how you joked on JCrew aficionada how we might run into each other wearing our fiona in the same color (haha some days I am slow and some days I am REALLY slow)
ReplyDeleteYou have two fionas? Traitor, LOL
Is the acorn one cute IRL? What do you wear it with? I was thinking of getting one but then I promised myself I would get JCrew items in only one color....after buying 3 uptown totes.
Loving the Jcrew Knockoff items you are finding at Kohl's and Target!! My wallet is not, however, liking you:) thanks for all you do!!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. I am 5'1 and soooo glad I googled the JCrew Victorian Shirt that I just ordered and ended up here!
