Original retail $98, now on sale for $69.99. The blouse comes in ivory or black. I think it's cute. I saw a blonde woman in the ivory version and she looked great in it.
However, it's not for me. I felt short and squat in it. As you can see, it's definitely see-thru. I think you need a cami under it and cannot go with just a bra. Too see-thru.
Thanks for the post and pictures, GiGi! I think this blouse looks like it needs long sleeves with those ruffles...not a fan of this one at all. Plus, I just CANNOT understand why they continue to make garments that are entirely sheer, AND charge so much money for them...especially since you have to buy a second piece to wear underneath! Definitely a pass for me, as well.
FFM -- If they'd made it long sleeve it would have been just like the swiss dot button down. Maybe they thought it was genius to make it short sleeve. This is more sheer than the swiss dot. Since I have darker skin, I can almost wear the swiss dot with a bra only.
bug pin - I got the cashmere argyle cardi in the cypress/graphite/carbon. Which is the green/gray/white one. I saw it in the store and it was beautiful. So soft. I got the cashmere argle v neck in acorn (brown) and also in citron. I'm expecting to keep the cardi and return one of the v necks. My argyle collection is getting out of hand. Will post when I receive.
I fell in love with this blouse when I saw it in the catalog in ivory color....I bought it in a store, it's gorgeous in person. I agree about the long sleeves but I think short sleeves are a good option for summer (just in case I decide to wear it with shorts or skirts and a nice pair of sandals)
I wore mine with a tissue turtleneck and my matchstick cords+ ballet flats+ uptown tote
I don't like it in black color, there is something slightly odd about it and I can't figure out what

ReplyDeleteHi gigi~I love ruffles but this is a lot on a short sleeve blouse. Not working for me.
ReplyDeleteQuestion-you mentioned you got a small in the cashmere argyle cardi. Which color did you get--black? Let me know when you get yours.
