J Crew Kelly shirt in white

J Crew Kelly blouses are currently $39.99 for a variety of colors, including white and black. The regular retail price is $54. It's a 3/4 sleeve blouse, FYI. You can save an additional percentage discount with the HOHOHO promo they are running through 12/11/08.

I love the fit and how it feels on the body. It's slimming. FYI, this is a size S and I am a 34C. It's has nice long shirttails. They look good out, but are also long enough to tuck in and that's a great option. The white is crisp and clean. Not blinding diamond white. Just a nice, true white.

  1. Thanks Gigi ~ ITA about this shirt; I wear a small too. I got the boucle charcoal astrid today. It is going back, it just screams 'grandma'~ I don't know why. The flower is super droopy, i tried it 50 diff ways too. Oh well, I did order the madeline coat and navy victoria from hoho ~ hope that order arrives correctly!

  2. caliglam - I am so bummed to hear you didn't like your charcoal astrid. I can't wait to see mine. We sure do like the same things! I ordered the Madeline in ivory, but returned it. There is something about it that's just too formal. I have the navy Victoria. I haven't worn it yet and am not sure I will keep it. It's so pretty & silky. I just wish the collar was lower than it is but higher than the Maisie.

Will post on the boucle astrid!

Did you try the astrid in the wool? I got it in camel in b&m and ordered it in sweet potato online today.

  3. Hi GiGi! I have and LOVE the Kelly shirts! I started with white, and then once the sale came...I ordered black, pewter, and another white. They look fab with jeans and boots, too. :)

  4. Hey FFM -- I love the pewter but it does nothing for my skin. Two in white is a great idea.

  5. I have some kellys and other JCrew button-ups but JCrew shirts are a PITA to iron. I don't know what it is (cotton % maybe?), but I refuse to pay to get them professionally done when I usually wear them under a sweater or jacket. I just work hard on the collar and top of the shirt, but it is a total PITA.
    Wish they made wrinkle-free!

  7. ss - I am always able to iron mine at home. I wash and hang them dry. My iron has a powerful steamer. Some gimmick I saw on HSN that actually works.

Olga - Y, pain in the ass. :-)
